Description
The house is located in the center of Blato on the island of Korčula, close to the facilities necessary for everyday life. The house is habitable and has the necessary documentation. Blato is a Mediterranean town and one of the oldest settlements on the island of Korčula. It is located in the middle of the western part, not far from the karst area of the same name. The settlement got its name from the flooded field. Until 1911, Blatsko polje was occasionally flooded, creating a lake that was drained by building drainage canals and tunnels to drain the water into the sea on the north coast. This created the conditions for even more successful use of the fertile Blatsko polje. The settlement itself is located around a flat area called Zlinje and the surrounding hills. Zlinje is also the most famous street in Blato with its famous row of linden trees and the city park, which provides exceptional shade in the summer months. The total area of the municipality is 66 km2. The municipality of Blato has access to the sea on both sides of the island. On the north coast it stretches from the Sprtiška bay in the west to the Lovornik bay in the east, and on the south coast from the Slatina bay in the west to Vinačac in the east. The former main port of Blata, Prigradica, is located about 4 km to the north. The length of the coast is 36.3 km. The area of the municipality is dominated by large cultivated fields, and the slopes of the surrounding hills are planted with olive trees and vines. On the territory of the municipality of Blato there is a unique monument of human work, dry stone walls that once served as the boundaries of arable fields. Like the entire island, Blato is located in the zone of the Adriatic-typical Mediterranean climate, characterized by dry and warm summers with clear days and mild and wet winters. Throughout the year, average temperatures below 10 °C were recorded only in January and February, while in June, July, August and September they averaged above 20 °C. The rainfall regime is typically Mediterranean, with a maximum at the end of autumn and the beginning of winter and a minimum in the month of July. *Pello Real Estate accompanies you from purchase to sale, we connect you with construction companies, geodetic offices and architectural firms if necessary. *To view the property and receive more information and photos, it is necessary to sign a viewing declaration or a brokerage contract. *The brokerage commission for buyers is optional, i.e. at the buyer's choice.
