Traditional Village House for Sale in Lefkes, Paros – Historic Character, Terraces & Aegean Views – ID 2309712

At the heart of Lefkes, one of the most atmospheric and beautifully preserved villages of Paros, this charming 90m² traditional house unfolds across three levels, offering an authentic connection to the island’s architectural heritage and village life. Originally a cobbler’s workshop with its adjoining living quarters, the property carries the character and proportions of an older Parian home, where generations of everyday life were closely woven into the fabric of the village. Set within the intimate network of Lefkes’ stone-paved lanes, the house benefits from two separate street accesses, creating a particularly interesting sense of independence and allowing the different levels to connect naturally with the village around them. Architecture & Interiors The main level opens into a spacious open-plan living area, where the living room, kitchen and dining space come together around a traditional fireplace. The proportions are generous and the atmosphere retains the simplicity of a genuine village residence, with the possibility of refreshing the interiors while preserving the house’s original Cycladic character. From this level, stairs descend to a separate bedroom with its own direct access to the street — a configuration that reflects the property’s historic relationship with the village and offers flexibility for guests or independent use. A staircase leads upwards to the first terrace, where the house begins to open towards the wider Aegean landscape. From here, views extend towards the Church of Agia Triada, the sea and the island of Naxos, creating an evocative setting for morning coffee, an evening aperitif or simply watching the changing light across the horizon. Continuing upwards, the upper level is dedicated to the master bedroom, accompanied by its own private terrace and a bathroom with WC. A small storage room completes this level, providing useful additional space. Outdoor Spaces & Views The terraces are among the most appealing features of the property. Rather than being conceived as expansive outdoor areas, they form a series of intimate vantage points woven into the vertical character of the traditional house. The first terrace looks across the rooftops of Lefkes towards Agia Triada, the Aegean Sea and Naxos, while the private terrace of the master bedroom offers a more secluded setting. The changing perspectives created by the three levels give the house a distinctive relationship with the village — from the intimate scale of the pedestrian lanes to the openness of the Aegean beyond. Technical Features & Equipment Interior area: 90m² Levels: Three Central heating system with radiators Air-conditioning unit Traditional fireplace Two separate street accesses Two bedrooms, including a master bedroom Bathrooms/WCs Two terraces Small storage room Renovation Potential The property would benefit from a refresh and a modest renovation, offering the opportunity to carefully restore and enhance its existing character rather than transform it. The intention would be to preserve the elements that give the house its authenticity — its traditional Cycladic proportions, village setting, fireplace, terraces and relationship with the surrounding architecture — while introducing a considered update to the interiors, kitchen, bathrooms and finishes. With a sensitive approach, the house could become a refined yet deeply authentic Parian retreat, retaining the atmosphere of an old village home while providing the comfort and simplicity expected of contemporary island living.
