House in Santa Teresa with patio and views of Sugarloaf Mountain, in a 1938 property that combines Brazilian colonial architecture with strong Mediterranean influence. Airy, sunny and quite reserved, the house preserves original elements of great value, such as floors, stairs, stained glass, Portuguese tiles and rosewood railing. The charming internal courtyard with arcaded gallery reinforces the unique personality of the architecture. The entrance is through a small garden and a granite staircase that leads to the social area, with a spacious living room, dining room, living room, gallery and a small office. On the first floor, the house offers a simple bedroom and three complete suites, including one with a balcony and views of Guanabara Bay, another facing the internal courtyard and a third with a bathtub. There is also a TV room, a Moroccan-style winter garden, a large terrace with stunning views of the Botafogo cove and the Sugar Loaf, as well as a studio or studio with large windows. The service area has an independent entrance and includes a large kitchen, laundry, bathroom, pantry and wine cellar. The property also has a small support suite, storage room and garage for one car. In Santa Teresa, it is a special home for those who value architecture, privacy and striking views in one of the most unique addresses in Rio. #ref:W06.841
