Proclaimed by the UN in December last year, the World Wildlife Day will be celebrated for the first time on 3rd March 2014. A date chosen on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of CITES, that is the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species.
Walking to the beach throughout a wild pine forest, diving to observe the fauna of the sea depths, enjoying a panoramic view of the sea or of the mountains are real privileges. Whether they are nature lovers or concerned about the overall well-being, more and more people feel touched by ecology and environmental protection, and contribute to it with small daily actions. Then, when the will of each one is not enough, the UN or the CITES takes the lead.
This day, unfortunately symbolic, reinforces the dates already consecrated to the defense of the animal and wild world. Thus, the global event for the Environment on June 5th, the day dedicated to the Ocean on June 8th, or even the world and European days for the Sea on September 30th and November 8th, are the dates that deserve to be highlighted.
