the living canvas of Elizabeth Blain

Trompe-l'oeil, animalistic art or seascapes, no detail escapes the brush of this Breton artist.

Animated by her passion for animals and decorative painting, Elizabeth Blain has a predilection for the trompe-l'oeil, animalistic art and seabed. With the utmost care, the Breton artist works hard to capture every detail on the canvas, every trait of her model. Her hyper realistic paintings are meticulously manufactured with a fine and acrylic brush, to faithfully translate a texture, a reflection. They are such realistic works that they arouse the desire of touching them.

It is in her many travels in Europe, in Africa, in America, in Asia, but also in her walks and lectures, that the artist finds inspiration. This technical accuracy is acquired thanks to her fascination for animals and nature.

On wood as on canvas, Elizabeth Blain realizes trompe-l'oeil of frescoes and of materials such as stone and marble. The artist performs wonderfully in producing seabeds where the most colorful species dance and excels in portraying our beloved pets. Much appreciated, her work was rewarded twice with the gold and the bronze medal at the Salon International Arts et Lettres of Pléneuf-Val-André. Often exhibited in France and abroad, there is no doubt that the works of Elizabeth Blain are to be discovered.
