Colourful, bright, warm, Francis Guillemont’s paintings explore and display the personality of the artist and the one of those who are looking at them. They include his emotions and self-questioning.
Francis Guillemont’s works are the result of sensitivity close to existentialism, months of preparation before it starts and ends. Not really atheist and in turn rebel, whimsical, lunar, erotic and instinctive, Francis creates mixed works with acrylic and other materials. His artistic expression tends to translate his states of mind through shapes and colours explosions.
According to the painter, each man enjoys his full consciousness and responsibility of what he is and what he does: good, evil and neutrality… The ideal is to take everyday life both rationally and instinctively. Art is a true personal process; to please or to displease, that is not the question. To discover Francis Guillemont and his paintings, please come on the 30th of May at the Atelier d’Art et d’Essai of Royan, and from the 1st of June to the 30th of August at the Atelier of Vaux-sur-Mer.
