Albufeira is a Portuguese city belonging to the District of Faro, region and sub-region of the Algarve, with about 31 000 inhabitants. It is the headquarters of a municipality with 140.66 km² of area and 44 158 inhabitants (2021 census), subdivided into 4 parishes.
The municipality is bordered to the west and northwest by the municipality of Silves, to the northeast and east by Loulé and to the south has a wide coastline in the Atlantic Ocean.
