Three-room apartment via Mancini, Marina di Tortora Tortora (Tùrturi in Calabrian) is the first municipality in north-western Calabria overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, on the border with Basilicata, a country of considerable importance for seaside tourism. Its predominantly hilly territory is largely included in the Pollino National Park. The territory is divided into three anthropic realities: the historic center which has around 550 inhabitants, the mountain hamlets with around 550 inhabitants and the marina with around 4900 inhabitants. The beach of Tortora Marina is located on the coastal strip called the Riviera dei Cedri, which overlooks the Gulf of Policastro between two seaside resorts that are highly appreciated internationally, such as Maratea and Praia a Mare. The beach is narrow and long and is made up of coarse sand mixed with gravel and pebbles.
