The most popular monumental building is Villa Clodio, located east of the village, which was used as a holiday home by the Venetian Clodio family. During the Turkish occupation, the palace was the house of the Turkish Aga, known as "konaki" (house in Turkish). Today the Military Museum has been restored and is housed.

In the center of the village there is a traditional tavern, cafe and a grocery store.

The distance from the city of Rethymnon is 12 km. From Heraklion Airport 86 km and from Chania Airport 77 km.
