Rafina is located on the coast of Eastern Attica and is the second largest port of the prefecture after Piraeus with high mobility to the Cyclades. In recent years Rafina has experienced great development and is practically a suburb of Athens, thanks to the Attiki Odos road which has improved access from the city centre as it joins Marathonos Avenue in neighbouring Pikermi. It is about 25 km from Athens.
