1. Convent of Christ (Castelo de Tomar)
This is the city's ex-libris. Originally built by the Templars (12th century) and later transformed/expanded over the centuries, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site
2.Aqueduct of the Convent of Christ
A remarkable work of “mid” (early modern) engineering to bring water to the convent, with elevated arches in areas.
3.Church of Santa Maria dos Olivais (or Santa Maria do Olival)
Has links to the Templars; (some) of the Templar relics were deposited in this church and there are the remains of Gualdim Pais, founding grand master of the city.
4.Church of Saint John the Baptist
Central church in the city.
5. Tomar Synagogue
It is one of the best preserved medieval synagogues in Portugal, dating back to the 15th century, before the Jewish expulsion.
