Milatos is a small, delightful fishing village, approximately 12 km from the popular summer resort of Malia. There are restaurants, cafes and shops in the village, as well as other facilities in the nearby resort of Sissi. The old village of Milatos is located on the north coast of Lasithis about 1.5 km inland and consists of old traditional stone houses, churches, a small shop and some kafenia. There is a wonderful view of the sea here. About 3 km from the old village is the famous Milatos Cave, which is worth a trip.
