ECOLOGY: Recycle to refurnish

Now, if recycling may seem routine, such as occurs with normal household waste, some people recycle everything right up to the furnishing of interiors and exteriors. Here are some ideas so that the most imaginative ones can ride this green wave.

With a little hard work, some wood pallets can be transformed into a desk, a sofa, a coffee table, a headboard, a garden lounge or a hanging garden for your sea view home. The only limit is your imagination.

Why not create carpets or bags with your old clothes or even customize a seat covering it with fabrics in patchwork style or made of fabric knot? In doing so, Meb Rure, designer from Istanbul conceived some true wonders of silk and white oak.

Plastic and metal are also some good materials that lend themselves to inventiveness. Worn-out vinyls, for example, become original and unique lampshades, while old tin cans find new life in candlesticks, vases for flowers and sometimes even wine bottle racks.
